Microsoft has Finally Today (13 Nov 2018) Re-released its semi-annual update for Windows 10 as October 2018 Update (aka Windows 10 version 1809) that starts roll the update out to PCs over the next few weeks. This is the sixth feature update that touches every corner of OS that includes a number of visual changes, and new features around system health, storage, customization, security, and productivity to improve the overall experience. Dark Theme for File Explorer (It’s pretty nice)
This is the most anticipated feature, Microsoft introduced in October 2018 update. Now with Windows 10 version 1809 When you enable Dark theme from Settings > Personalization > Colors, scroll to the bottom and for Choose your default app mode, choose Dark. This will enable the dark theme for File Explorer, including the context menu that appears when you right-click your desktop and popup dialogs.
Your Phone app (Star of Latest update)
This is one of the biggest addition of the latest feature update where Microsoft tried to get closer to Andriod and ISO devices. Windows 10 October 2018 update Introduced Your Phone app, which is an update of the “your Phone” that lets you link your Android, IOs handset to Windows 10. The new App connects your Windows 10 computer to your Android handset and lets you view your most recent mobile photos, Allow send text messages from Windows PC, copy and paste directly from the phone to applications on the desktop, and text through the PC.
Note: To use this feature you must have an Android handset running Android 7.0 or newer.
To set up, Open Your Phone app on Windows 10, (you must sign in with Microsoft account). Then enter your phone number in the app and it sends a text that you use to download Microsoft Launcher in Android.
You can still connect your iPhone to Windows through Your Phone, But iPhone users can’t access their phone’s photos; you can send only links from the Edge iOS app to open on Edge on your PC.
Microsoft is also integrating your mobile activities into Timeline, a feature it rolled out with the April Windows 10 update. Timeline already offers the ability to scroll back, almost film-strip-like, through previous Office and Edge browser activities. Now, supported iOS and Android activities like recently used Office documents and Web pages will show up on the Windows 10 desktop, too.
Cloud-powered Clipboard (Sync Across Devices)
Windows 10 October 2018 Update supercharges the clipboard experience, which leverages the cloud to copy and paste content across devices. Means Now with Windows 10 version 1809 users copy content from an app and paste it on mobile devices like iPhones or Android handsets. In addition, the new clipboard also introduces a new interface (which you can invoke using the Windows key + V shortcut) to view your history, paste previous content, and pin items that you may need to paste on a daily basis.

New Screenshot tool (Snip & Sketch) eventually replace Snip
The latest Windows 10 feature update, introduces a new way (Snip & Sketch App) to take screenshots That works similar function like Old snipping tool to take screenshots But the new Snip & Sketch App enhances that experience and adds a few other benefits, such as update through the Microsoft Store (instead of having to wait for a new version of Windows 10), bring up the snipping toolbar with all the basic tools you need. Also using the Share icon in the upper-right corner allows a list of apps, people, and devices you can share the file.

Search Previews in the Start Menu (For more useful results)
With the latest update, Windows 10 search experience has been overhauled to provide more useful results for both local and web searches. With Windows version 1809 When you start typing to search for something, Windows now shows you a preview pane that displays extra relevant information. This new interface has search categories, a section to return to where you stayed from recent files, and the classic search bar of the search.
When you search for an app or document, the right pane will now surface common actions, including options to run an app as an administrator, file information, such as path and last time the document was modified, and more.
Storage Sense enhanced to Automatically OneDrive cleanup
Storage Sense helps you to free up space automatically as your device starts to run out of space. And now with Windows 10 October 2018 update Storage Sense can now automatically remove OneDrive “files on demand” you haven’t opened in a while from your PC to free up space. They’ll be re-downloaded when you try opening them again.
The feature doesn’t come automatically activated with the update. To use Storage Sense, users will have to turn it on manually in the Setting menu. To enable this, head to Settings > System > Storage, enable Storage Sense, click “Change how we free up space automatically,” and choose when you want to remove OneDrive files under “Locally available cloud content.”
Make Text Bigger (Change System font size)
Windows 10 version 1809 also includes the ability to increase text size across the system. Instead of digging through display settings and adjusting scaling, head to Settings > Ease of Access > Display, use the slider to adjust the size of the text, and hit Apply.

Microsoft Edge Improvements
With every new version of Windows 10, Edge gets a fair share of updates. This version also includes a new sidebar Options menu that better organizes the browser’s features like Favorites, Reading List, and History.
When clicking on “….” in the Microsoft Edge toolbar, you will now find a new menu command like “New tab” and “New Window”. And the new improved settings menu breaks the options into subpages, arranged by category.
There are also improvements to Edge’s built-in PDF Reader, The Edge browser now contains a dictionary feature in reading mode, plus a line focus tool and several under-the-hood performance improvements. Finally, Notepad Get some love
The default text editor Notepad finally receives some love on October 2018 update, That supports Macintosh and Unix/Linux line endings and allows you to open files created in Linux or on a Mac in Notepad and have them render properly, rather than being displayed on a garbled single-line mess.
There’s a new zoom feature, too. Just click View > Zoom and use the options to zoom in and out. You can also hold down Ctrl and press the plus sign (+), minus sign (-), or zero (0) keys to zoom in, zoom out, or reset to the default zoom level. You can also rotate your mouse wheel while holding the Ctrl key down to zoom in and out.
One of the “interesting” features Microsoft added to Notepad where a user can highlight text and search for it on Bing.
Also, Microsoft Added the option “wrap-around” for the function “Find / Replace”. Notepad will store previously entered values and checkboxes and automatically apply them when you reopen the Find dialog box. In addition, when you select text and open the “Find” dialog box, the selected word or a fragment of the text will be automatically placed in the query field

The Windows 10 Game Bar will now display CPU and GPU usage, as well as average frames per second (fps), used during gaming. The Game Bar also features improved audio control.
New Adjust Video based on Lighting feature automatically adjusts your video settings based on your ambient light settings
Task Manager now includes 2 new columns in the “Processes” tab to show the energy impact of the running process on their system.
The registry editor will get an auto-suggestion feature. When you type the location of a key, it will suggest keys to autocomplete.
Microsoft added the SwiftKey Keyboard, the very popular iOS and Android keyboard application in an effort to improve typing on its devices with a touchscreen.
